Hi Jonathan and Evan! Listened to this the Tuesday after your conversation. I loved it and your interaction. Would also be interested in hearing your conversations/discussions/thoughts on the places where we have friction on the left. There's nothing more educating than hearing 2 intelligent, earnest, good people discuss an issue and what the options are.
Evan, I'm in Loudoun, VA, so I'm acutely aware of the problems with data centers. Not sure if it's helpful/actionable in TN and if this is something you're actively working on, but we're trying to hold the data center operators accountable for their noise and emissions permitting through the VA State Corporation Commission and have put up purple air monitors to track their emissions.
There are a lot of people in Memphis doing that work. There was recently a rally with Justin Pearson (TN-9 candidate) plus AOC, Ayanna Presley and (I think?) Summer Lee. Lots of stuff happening on the ground there. It’s going to be one of the most important issues in the Memphis congressional races this fall (there are now three of them because the legislature gerrymandered the district to try to steal power from Democrats).
That's awesome. We're also finding that media attention, which must be showing up to see all those folks, is pushing local electeds to be better here in the data center fight.
Yeah, when I had heard they had done that to Memphis it broke my heart. I'm from Boise, ID and having the city divided in two for my entire memory is how they've gotten away with so much in that state. Sending you all all of the love and rage you need to win against them.

I loved this conversation! Great start to the day, hard to find at the moment. Thank you!
Thanks, Justin!

In order to be convinced by anti-Democratic propaganda (which is always also anti-democratic), people have to be stupid enough.
So people were stupid, regardless of why they voted against their best interests..
Enjoyed this exchange between you two. Please, meet up again!
We will!
Thank you, Karen. I suspect we will...
Jonathan, you are SO RIGHT about DSA and the establishment Dems
Thank you, Terry!
My preferred term for moderate or centrist democrats is half facists. Because they enable the right and it has an appropriate sound to it.
Nice one Gerald.
They sure do show their asses and seem that way sometimes.
