Remember when she was running in the presidential primary back in 2020 and was genuinely shocked that people hadn't forgiven her for what she did to Senator Al Franken? Somewhere in the middle of my slog through the malaria swamp that Washington has become a tiny little lightbulb of an Aha! began flickering. It came to me that, other than rubbing red meat all over the persons and institutions tRumpMusk have in their crosshairs for all the reasons you mention, Jonathan, preparatory to throwing them to the lions, we have precious little to go on when it comes to sussing out their deepest motivations. Is this because if we did take a peek into their souls, we would discover a mashup of sheer sadism self-aggrandizement felt by bullies everywhere when they crush someone? What a gut punch that would be. Of course they also want moremoremoremoremore money, because that's what shores up their power to do harm and their immunity. I wonder, could their zeitgeist be a reflection of what you see on the faces of the male perpetrators in snuff porn? OMG. If so, we need to realize there's no way to work with these guys, any more than, for the past @160+ years we've been able to work with the remnants of the Confederacy. Could it be that we 'get' this, and that's why we're screaming in frustration? We need heroes, morally upright heroes of both genders, and perhaps some angels with flaming swords.
