Big business will always give in to DumDum on any of his ludicrous economy suggestions even if it is humiliating or appears to be at a loss because in the end they will get a bigger tax break. And/or he fights on their behalf only to get some sort of kickback from it afterwards. As to the drug pricing, the end game is no to get lower prices but to get others to pay more because other countries get better deals based on drug purchasing economy of scales, not to mention he hates countries who actually serve their citizens instead of repressing them. How does the US commerce department look into a private business deal with a sovereign nation - it's all privaleged, er State secret information? More smoke & mirrors. Those Big Pharmas must be really mad that their free Federal scientific/medical research has been trashed so they will no longer get free rights to

medical breakthrough to patent and make the big bucks. Off topic, surprise surprise United Health is under investigation for Medicaid fraud.

I think the reason he lowered the tariffs on China was because when he met with Walmart and Home Depot, they said they would eat the tariffs until the big bill is passed, but they wouldn’t eat 135%. Once the big beautiful bill is passed andif they don’t show the tariffs on all of our bills, they will be able to leave their prices high forever and they will have assisted the GOP in getting their big beautiful bill passed.

ah ha! I knew that would be in there somewhere, price gouging that didn't come back down, like with the housing rip-off, then covid...You're Right, you seem to think like these guys!

Should i apologize? Or feel okay about my guesses?

Lol, I hate it, but what you speculate makes more sense than anything else.

So it will benefit him….

I think this is a net win for big Pharma and why the GOP can pull it off. If he equalizes the price of pharmacy everywhere, big pharma will be getting the same amount of money. However, if they can do it fast enough, they will be able to show tariff revenue from Europe in order to pass their big beautiful bill.

We need campaign finance reform, so the politicians don’t need or can’t take money from corporatists or billionaires. Then we need to get rid of Citizens United. How on earth can all of these companies and ideological think tanks (tax exempt) just keep giving money to politicians and funding campaigns?

Paid lobbyists made it possible for every country to negotiate with big pharma except the US?

Europe will "negotiate" with F47, giving him the same deal he already has with Europe, so he can go back and claim he "won!" So much winning

Didn’t Biden already do that??!

Kathy H's avatar

What Biden did was use the collective bargaining power of Medicare to negotiate fairer prices for citizens, what Felon47 is doing is trying to strong arm other countries out of their right to negotiate for their citizens. It frys my brain how everything he does that is supposed to look like something for working people is always the exact opposite.

Of course it does! Why else would tRump support it?

Re the focus on fat: to be fair, two out of three Americans now weigh as much as the other one. Something has to give.

Although other research shows one out of three Americans now weigh as much as the other two. Either way these drugs work.
