I am horrified for Loletha Hall and her family. No one thinks they are walking into a trap like that making deliveries. This is just awful!
I also have to say I am so fed up with scammers and phishers at the same time. I and my octogenarian parents get this kind of nonsense at an accelerating rate, and no amount of complaining to authorities, or trying to stay ahead of possible scams seems to fully work. It is really out of hand, and I can understand folks who are fed up with it. I would never pick up a gun in response, or confuse an Uber driver with the scammer. I do understand the gun man's frustration though.
When I heard this story I was left wondering why he hadn't simply called the police in the first place. Senseless.
