There appears to be some kind of hoodoo that allows folks to tweet substacks that look like twitter-approved URLs that embed a picture and give (now) a basic headline across the image that shows the linked item and notes who the OP is and users are learning to click images like that to get to the linked item. That's why I mouthed off to you about pictures. As we know, Elno's twitter ops are inconsistent. Aaron Rupar's substack Public Notice is an example. I don't know how he disguises the substack part of his URL.. maybe?... to fool Twitter. Idk. This is his substack: https://www.publicnotice.co/ On the twitter machine, his Public Notice tweets pop up with the story image nice as pie: https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1763562618717917486 I'm an old marketing hack so I get the interest in keeping the logo forward but maybe you can embed the logo in the image? I don't know how to do that, either. I used to have people for that. You could ask him. He seems like a stand up guy. LOVE THE REPORTAGE, Jon. You're killing it. Truly!

From a marketing perspective (shoot me now in the face) I've been thinking the logo is (a) great (sue me, I love it), and (b) effectively distinguishes TFN from the original reporting I do, which DOES have a thumbnail. The real challenge for me is the aforementioned hoodoo... and until I crack the hoodoo I think I'm kinda stymied. It IS on my to-do list... but my to-do list could use some hoodoo of its own.
