Forgive me for withholding my praise for Ms. Sheinbaum just yet: "Sheinbaum, the former mayor of Mexico City, has vowed to build on the legacy of populist President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, including a proposal to weaken the Supreme Court and national electoral body, a move that opponents say poses a threat to the country’s democracy."
Every day it feels like we're hanging from a cliff and the tree branch we're hanging from is getting weaker. If there's an afterlife I really want to punch reagan in the junk when I find him in hell. He and his cronies killed so much that we're paying for now.
I shouldn't say this about hanging from a branch on a cliff, but...hang in there? I love looking back at commentaries from previous decades and noting that they all felt similarly about their times. Twas ever thus. And seeing that always gives me permission to enjoy what life has to offer, too, and not just fret about the bad things here and down the road...
“Goinkday, Borvember 34.” Hahaha! You really should consider moonlighting as a comedy/politics writer for a tv show of some sort.
Thanks!

It looked like there's more than a little ambiguity around exactly how she'll continue some of his legacy, for sure.
Those heat deaths will start increasing in Florida and Texas because employers there don't want to protect their employees from the heat😢
