Christian Nationalism... I wish! Christ-ian doctrine is just solid ethics, anti-elitism. Republicans have a butchered version - slimmed down to mostly hating LGBTQ folks, keeping women "in their place," hating "the new world order" [insert group] and occassionally leaving no man woman or child alive, killing livestock and setting everything on fire in a quest for dominance. It's a big book - lots of ideas - people see what they wanna see - everyone cherrypicks. Don't blame religion as a concept for religious idiots and assholes. Religion is ancient history mixed with philosophy for some. Others are dancing with rattlesnakes because the Bible says "you shall take up serpents and not be harmed." (Metaphors are hard.)
I actually have written about my disagreement with this, but we don't have to agree on the nature of Christian doctrine to agree on doing right by LGBTQ+ folks, women, [insert group], the environment, and the atmosphere! Thank you for the exegesis!
My point is that there is no single overriding Christian doctrine or Muslim doctrine or Jewish doctrine… It’s mostly just a lot of people cherry-picking big complicated books and histories to prop up their own confirmation bias.
Agree with your latter point, but he actually corrected himself on Zelenskyy/Putin...and I know my Mom FREQUENTLY jumbled my brother's and my names. It'd be different if Biden were coming up with true non sequitur names ... "Vice President Fibonacci" ... but I certainly agree with your larger point that, whether these are brain farts or brain explosive diarrhea... there's reason for brain concern.
Trump is deranged, no question, and the thought of his presidency and the people surrounding him is terrifying, but Biden is in steady decline. We can decide to stay with his candidacy, but it does us no good to hide in denial our awareness of the problem we face with Biden’s increasing mental frailty.

Regarding Harris and religion - I cringe whenever candidates respond in a way that they think the voters want to hear. But then I was raised old-school, northern usa/euro religion - the kind where you don't go bragging on street corners. Even if I did believe in a magical being, I would not go around telling other people what to do because the magical being said so and would politely say that my religious beliefs are a private matter.
Now - let me put on my dumb old white lady hat. I believe that in some communities that aren't beholden to the GOP/Christo-fascist party religion does play a big part and is part of tradition. Kind of like when a sports-ball player thanks their god - I give them a pass even though it still seems ridiculous to me (and for a lot of them it's blatantly hypocritical).
Independence of the FED is paramount to running an economy for the benefit of all citizens. That is a full stop. Why is that so hard for so many R's to understand? Timing errors can happen but using and pressuring the FED for political purposes is the same as berating a judge in a criminal proceeding. Eff me. Also, "Faith is not a verb..." - priceless.
I heard about inflation cooling yesterday on NPR. My thought was, then they can start lowering interest rates. I want to buy a car, but I’m waiting for the rates to come down. Now this SOB is threatening the Fed Chair (who in my opinion should’ve been fired by Biden like any Trump holdover should’ve been).
