Great, thank you for refreshing my memory about what an asshole Trump was after 9/11 and loved the 9/11 tie in with the debate.

Enjoyed seeing today's 'headlines' about what was labelled a debate last night. Reluctantly tuned in, and even more reluctantly must admit error in what I commented on the other day about David Muir and Linsey Davis. They did a commendable job in a much better format for a debate than anyone else has ever managed to come up with.

I am going to skip right past my pre-judging them poorly and head on over to ask...

why is every media outlet NOT hammering away at looney boy's idiotic words, phrases and behavior as the ramblings of a crazy person?

Elderly or not, he just continued the same old incoherent ramblings as per every 'rally' he ever has yelled at. But now the talking heads can roll their eyes (big move forward, media) but none still dare say he is nuts. Why not? If anyone came up to you on the street and repeated Tramp's jibber jabber, the straight jackets would be coming toot-suite. No questions asked. Instead, they all sit around and 'try to make sense of what dingbat said' while Rome is burning with 'undecideds' and polls no one believes that are 'instant' and more about having a screen graphic than reality.

Really? Undecided? Someone, anyone out there really going to get on the ship with Captain Crazy Don and his concepts of a plan?

It was simple enough for a district attorney to outsmart the buffoon with a 3 year old's brain. Unfortunately, the fan club of dolts will support the Trumptanic straight to the bottom regardless of whatever he does or says. I for one do not plan to go with them.

Stupid people, please grab the railings and stay on the tilting decks enjoying the violin music, while the rest of us smile watching you go down with the loser ship.

Thank you for this comment. And thank you for hosting the thread last night, without which I wouldn't have watched the cage fight. (Political debate??) And it was important that I did, so observe....how to describe it? I'll go with your analysis Jonathan.

"I think the biggest loser was the progressive left and, more importantly, the people helped by progressive policies.

If anyone mentioned poor people or poverty, I missed it. The Democratic candidate bragged about expanding the territory in which oil barons can suck planet-destroying combustibles from the Earth, poisoning and seismically destabilizing the world.

On topic after topic, Vice Pres. Kamala Harris neglected or actively rejected multiple articles of faith of successful politicians and effective policy."

Absolutely LOVE the Adam & Eve joke!

Of course Drumpf is sure it was his best debate ever (even though it was ‘three against one’). He probably thinks it was the best performance in his life, except for that time he made a hole-in-one on a par 5, left-handed.

Boy are you right about the “undecideds “. It’s not required that you be a political junkie like us to be a good American, but for fucks sake the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. As a citizen of a representative democracy and an open society, you have an obligation to pay at least minimal attention to how the country is being run. As the founders put it, without a sense of virtue and rationality the American experiment is not going to work. So pay attention undecideds or no pudding for you!
