Top of your game and what the world (the ones bright enough to read TheF'inNews) needs. Tempted to send some of your words directly to a few media outlets just so they get the direct message TO DO THEIR F'IN JOBS!, but that might them to have integrity and knowledge of HOW to do their job. Fat chance. Most appear to not be able to read or even comprehend 'words', just parrot them.
Anyhow, I wanted to say I absolutely loved this particular great transition today:
'At this rate, America’s attempts at de-escalation are going to lead to America sending more troops and weapons to the Middle East.'
America Sends More Troops and Weapons to the Middle East
Crack me the hell up.
Thanks for all you do, taking all the shit out there, mixing it into great comedy (as funny as anyone can be in this dark world of idiots) and keeping your knee on the throats of the assholes that don't know enough to report it... and THEY have a job. Yeesh.
Know what else happened in Georgia? A judge (the same one who’s slated to hear the new election board fuckery case) overturned Georgia’s 6 week abortion ban. I think that’s kind of a BFD, at least for the next couple of days until the GA Supremes decide that, in fact, this case was not correctly resolved and reinstates the ban. Either way, it’s not a great look for a state government who just lost a case that tossed a very unpopular law to turn around and fight for that law’s reinstatement.
I saw that! From what I read it was an interesting ruling. To your point, though, it's not likely the final say, which is why I didn't include it in today's already long TFN. But yeah, definitely worth keeping an eye on!
The ruling was pretty blistering in its strike down of the law.
Here’s a quick recap from my fave podcaster and (now) Substack writer, Dr. Alison Gill, or as she’s known on the Twitter place, @muelletshewrote. She pulls out the best quotes from the decision like this *big giant oh just fuck straight off you misogynist pigs* statement:
“While the State’s interest in protecting “unborn” life is compelling, until that life can be sustained by the State -- and not solely by the woman compelled by the Act to do the State’s work -- the balance of rights favors the woman.
Women are not some piece of collectively owned community property the disposition of which is decided by majority vote. Forcing a woman to carry an unwanted, not-yet-viable fetus to term violates her constitutional rights to liberty and privacy, even taking into consideration whatever bundle of rights the not-yet-viable fetus may have.”
There are actual brick and mortar stores dedicated to selling trump shit? All I ever see is EZ ups on random street corners every once in a while. What a wild world we live in.
I flashed on Petraeus/betrayus when you mentioned McGurk. These fucking guys.
TFG

Fair enough. 😁

Anyway, if you’re interested in not having to read the entire decision but getting a feel for the overall *tone*: https://www.muellershewrote.com/p/the-incredible-ruling-striking-down

That was what occurred to me, too! But yeah there's a picture and everything...
