Thanks to the Trump and Melania meme coins, he has made his billions in graft, so this is what the rest of us get…thanks Jonathan

There is a need to increase revenues and hope to fill the gap of tax cuts for the wealthy. It also acknowledges the US descent into third world status as this tactic is used to protect industry inefficiencies and those that exploit it.

So Trumps fleecing of America begins!

Wasn't Musk, unelected to an unofficial undepartment/department, except EO stuff, just given the computer hacker of the year award, by shutting down the funding portals so he, himself, controls those?

Also, we need to keep in mind these things are distractions to Creepy Russ, "Wet Socks Borrowed From Bible Mike Johnson" Vought who, like unelected squatter, wants to shut the government down and fund nothing.

Do we get vouchers like Yeltsin gave out? Or whoever. I want back in on some good Russian hundo-proof.

Wet Sock said we are living in a post constitutional era...do we have someone other than Schumer weighing in on this? God I hope so.

Clip of Curtis Yarvin should be played on a loop, from 2008, stating he like to take all non-productive, by his determination, people and turn their skin into bio-fuel and that we need to get over our hate of dictators.

Per the newest interview with the shithole Times, he thinks differently today, yeah sure he does. He just fancies himself an intellectual and has his kids in a Mandarin Immersion School, and said unless you're an intellectual or historian you wouldn't know about the Articles of Confederation and that its all about start ups and let me say this a different some kind of BS way and you still wouldn't understand anyway.

Curtis, I get what you're saying, while in your rocker biker leather jacket, at 50+, with spinner ring to boot, and know you're the creepiest of creeps and the eugenics KING and Trump is your puppet to the Oval. And I know that you won't sit in the Oval in these four years but you plan to soon enough through Theil/Vance.

Reading between the lines is difficult for some but this dude, could tell you anything and philosophize that you are looking at a grape and have you understanding, by the end, it is a potted plant.

I would advise against traveling for the time between now and maybe forever. Godspeed.

We all need to go through harm and economic hurt...I guess. Should that go for Trump as well as there is no one I've met or known in all my years that can't handle a fucking thing without whining or blaming than the "C" Trump.

When President Musk was posed a question about tariffs and impact on the economy with a description of how bad it could get (two years timeframe), I believe his answer was, "Sounds about right". Wish I could find that exchange. This is a crazy way to govern.

Expand full comment

It's not governing. It's pillaging. Trump is playing golf in Florida and Musk, the Nazi is data mining the entire United States Treasury, while high as a kite and believing himself the smartest, coolest guy in the world. He is neither, in fact he is alarmingly stupid and immature. And yet here we are.

Exceptionally crafted piece! The market has already spoken their thoughts for the Trump tariff plan!!

Ron Johnson: "I hope he's pretty thoughtful." -- he's not "pretty" thoughtful, not even sometimes thoughtful. Let's call it never thoughtful, as in thoughtless.

Mike Rounds: "So I think they'll be reasonable."

Chuck Grassley: "The tactic is questionable...I hope he's successful."

Have these guys met him??

Hah. Does not think, ergo has no genuine thoughts; his brain-farts are always ugly.

Higher tariffs on our ally Canada, than China? Was that for Musk?

yeah of course, I don’t think the Tesla supply chains rely on Mexico and Canada as much as the conventional automakers, my thoughts exactly

I'm no brainiac, but that gold chart is terrifying. Good work, Jon. It appears Trump has taken Hitler's 53-day challenge personally... https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2025/01/hitler-germany-constitution-authoritarianism/681233/
