It would be cool if the dems could ever get their act together...

In some regards, sure, yes, but on the other hand, I do also think democracy=messy and even though it makes us break out in flop sweat, we’ve gotta learn to tolerate a necessary amount of mess and chaos. Just not necessarily THIS amount. (With more mess earlier, we might well have less mess now…!)

Yeah - that's my deal - where was the pearl-clutching from all of those that allegedly believe he's in major decline and should step down before the primaries? The Clooney op-ed just about broke me - and yeah, I get it, he's the big donor/fundraiser of the group that basically selects the candidate. But for real, where in tf were these jackwagons a year ago? 6 months ago? Letting the fire start and not putting it out until the whole house is in flames doesn't seem like a winning strategy.

And I get that it's messy - it's always been messy on the Dem side of things and we accept that. I, too, would've liked a different choice than what was on offer (rich jerk or other rich jerk/worm brain). But now? Would a different Dem nominee even be on the ballot in all 50 states? In all swing states? (since those seem to be the only ones that matter - everyone seems to forget that the non-swing states still have their votes counted and needed by either of the candidates, too)

I just don't see any daylight at all between Trump, the Trump National Committee née RNC, and Project 2025 and none of them are softening on abortion. Donald's a single-issue candidate in that he only wants to stay out of jail. The rest of these jagoffs use him to make their demonic dreams come true.
