Whenever I come across the racist tropes about immigrants - all the fear-mongering lies about "mentally ill, criminal, raping, murdering vermin poisoning our blood," I'm surprised that more people have not emphasized the fact that the references have moved from bizarrely false claims about "illegal" immigrants to being about immigrants, period, claims given an exclamation point by Steven Miller goose-stepping to "America is for Americans and Americans only"
No more the fig leaf of "if only they'd do it legally, there would be no problem." No more the differentiation of the "bad hombres" from the "good hombres." Just naked hatred for and irrational fear of any and all among "the other."
This is fascism fulfilled, paranoia as policy, systematized xenophobia. We must, we must, remember that whatever the outcome from November, those forces still exist and the fight is not over.
All that happened this week is that Netanyoyo repeated to Likud members that he won't accept it because it falls short of, essentially, permanent Israeli dominance of Gaza.

So...is the thinking here "if,after all we've done to Gaza, there are hostages still alive then there must be some pretty tough bunkers we gotta get cleared out?" Or maybe "well we found more dead hostages n the rubble, guess more retalliation is in order to keep the remaing hostages safe."
I think it's more of a fear that once the last living hostage returns home, someone would ask: "weren't there several treasonous charges we were trying you for?"
Umm… maybe someone should tell Donald that we women are fully capable of defending ourselves. Hell, we are even allowed to own guns AND serve in the military. 😳

This is not a new offer nor is the rejection anything new. It refers to a ceasefire proposal made by Hamas back in January.
